Safe Plate Day

Safe Plate Day

Get your car fitted with free anti-theft number plate screws. The theft of vehicle number plates is increasing. Criminals are using stolen plates to steal petrol from service stations, evade freeway tolls and road safety cameras, and for other crime related activities.

Help protect your number plates by having standard screws replaced by one way security crews.

About Community Safety Month

Community Safety Month was initiated in 1996 by the Victorian Safe Communities Network (VSCN).

Local communities, groups, schools, regional services, businesses, state and local government departments and agencies, are encouraged to build community safety partnerships by organising safety activities with other organisations and groups. For those with established partnerships, Community Safety Month provides an ideal opportunity to showcase existing safety programs or develop new ones and reminds us that we all have a role to play in keeping our community safe.
