Violence is never ever okay

Week Without Violence

The Clothesline Project, a worldwide campaign that aims to raise community awareness of the impact family violence, encourage healing through art and strengthen local connections and relationships focused on the prevention of violence against women.

Clothesline Project Community Window Display.

The concept is simple: each woman tells her story in her own unique way, using words and/or artwork to decorate her t-shirt. Once finished, she hangs it on a clothesline.

About Community Safety Month

Community Safety Month was initiated in 1996 by the Victorian Safe Communities Network (VSCN).

Local communities, groups, schools, regional services, businesses, state and local government departments and agencies, are encouraged to build community safety partnerships by organising safety activities with other organisations and groups. For those with established partnerships, Community Safety Month provides an ideal opportunity to showcase existing safety programs or develop new ones and reminds us that we all have a role to play in keeping our community safe.
